Although Puppy User started a few weeks ago, we decided to give it a face lift and a small architecture change that would allow us to display more articles on the front page.

With the new design, essential links for beginners are displayed in the right hand column, and news on the left provide information on everything that is new in the Puppy Linux world.

Hope you like the new design, all comments and suggestions are welcome.

Puppy Linux was built with two goals in mind - speed and ease of use. It is only natural that Puppy Linux would run perfectly on ASUS Eee computers. Pupeee is a distribution made especially for all versions of Eee PCs.

Pupeee 4.2 is an Eee PC optimized Netbook distro based on Puppy Linux 4.2, and it includes needed drivers and patches (Madwifi, Intel-hda sound patch, Hotkeys-patch, Eeepc acpi).

Known Bugs

Eee PC 1000ha wifi uses diffrent drivers madwifi does not see it correctly;
Puppy network manager is the only app that works with wifi, does not always find your network but it will after a few attempts. this seems to only happen if theirs multi wifi connections available;
Wpa long keys said to not work.

Download Pupeee 4.2 here.

Starting Pupeee

Download Pupeee and proceed with getting started instructions to get your Pupeee running. If you don't have the external CD drive, the easiest method would probably be to run Pupeee of an USB drive.
